About Bot Diff
Bot Diff is a League of Legends platform for ADCs and supports, built around the bot lane as a 2v2: your ADC and support together, against the enemy ADC and support. It has two parts:
- This website: bot lane stats from high-elo games (tier lists, duo synergy, 2v2 matchups, builds), player lookup and live game scouting.
- The Bot Diff Coach: a desktop app that records your games and reviews them against those high-elo games. It's in private testing.
Ranks shown are Riot's official ranked tiers. Bot Diff doesn't estimate hidden MMR.
Where the data comes from
A crawler continuously downloads ranked solo queue games played by Master, Grandmaster and Challenger players on KR through the official Riot Games API, including each game's minute-by-minute timeline. Profile lookups fetch that player's own recent games; those count for their profile only, not for the site-wide stats, unless the crawler also finds them in a Master+ player's history.
What the numbers mean
- Win rate: games won by the side with that champion, duo or matchup.
- Duo gold @15: the ADC and support's combined gold minus the enemy ADC and support's at 15:00. ADC gold @15 compares only the two ADCs.
- Level 2 first: how often the duo reached level 2 before the enemy duo. Winning that race often decides the first trade.
- 2v2 kills: kills minus deaths in fights where only the four bot laners were involved (no jungler or roamer got a kill or assist), before 14:00, per game.
- Plates: enemy bot lane turret plates destroyed before plates fall at 14:00, per game.
- Tiers: win rate adjusted toward 50% for small samples, plus a small bonus for popularity, then grouped into S, A, B, C and D.
- Matchup estimate: the ADC matchup, the support matchup and both duos' synergy combined in log-odds, then blended with the exact 2v2 record as that record grows.
- Builds: the first legendary items bought in order (three for ADCs, two for supports), rune pages, the order abilities were maxed, boots, starting items and summoner spells.
Live game roles
Riot's spectator data doesn't say who plays which role, so live games assign roles from how often each champion plays each position in our games, with Smite marking the jungler.
